Colorful Colorado

In September of 2016, I went on a vacation to southern Colorado with my parents. Upon landing in Denver I was greeted with sunny skies and ninety degree weather. As we headed into the mountains we quickly realized how lucky we were about to be for this drive. Sporadically yellow Aspen trees mixed in with the tall pines. Those spots of bright yellow became large swathes and streaks heading deep up the ravines. As we drove, I shot these pictures out the windshield and windows of the car. With each shot I was just hoping I could get that perfect shot. The following day we learned we just happened to be traveling during peak color weekend. I can only hope that these pictures give you sense of the amount of beauty we saw that day.
